You're going to LOVE THIS THREAD!

So does anyone here like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic? I decided to check it out after I found out Mike was a brony, and I've loved it ever since. I've currently seen up to Season 2 Episode 8 "The Mysterious Mare Do Well" and look forward to seeing the rest of them. Cool

What're your guys' opinions?

I've seen through Season 2 Episode 8, so I've seen many with Apple Bloom. The most recent one with her I've seen was probably "The Cutie Pox".

So I assume that Apple Bloom is your favorite pony (or at least one of your favorites)?

Fluttershy is my favorite, by far. I have a shirt with her on it.

But applebloom is my second favorite, I just forgot when she came in the show, so Laughing

I don't really have a favorite, but if I had to choose one it'd probably be Pinkie Pie (earlier it was Fluttershy). Besides that I love Celestia as Trollestia. Lol I've considered getting shirts with either Pinkie Pie or Derpy on them, and I do actually own one shirt that says "Brony" on it with a stallion silhouette underneath, but I don't wear it because it seems to give my body an allergic reaction. Sad :-P

Meh, that show's been going downhill since the first season. I'll admit, Season 1 was hella good (I'm beginning to regret coming to this thread), but the quality just slipped far from par. Plus, since most of the fanbase is gone now, my former Brony friends IRL have shut up about it.

Suspect

I just reread that last paragraph. Good lord, this is not my typing. silent I'll go be ashamed in a corner, now.

What do you mean by that most of the fanbase is gone? As far as I can tell many are still there (possibly even in the lower millions, though I'm not sure) and it's continuing to grow. If you mean people who talk about it in real life, a lot of them don't bring it up (or are at least reluctant to) because they fear criticism from their family and/or peers due to widely observed gender and age stereotypes. Season 2 seems to be pretty good to me, though I think I can see why you'd be disappointed with it.

The new generation of MLP, which is the 4th one, is like 1,000,000,000 times better than the previous three IMO. It's been made to entertain the entire family rather than solely focusing on little girls. It has characters that are amusing, admirable, and entertaining, good plots, good humor, and pop culture references. For example, Dr. Whooves would be a reference to Dr. Who and Photo Finish would be a reference to Anna Wintour, the executive editor of Vogue magazine. The show is developed by Lauren Faust, who was involved with other shows such as the Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

lol, my school is full of bronies. It's quite awesome. At least in my school, the brony fanbase is spreading fast.

From my experience, most of the brony community that was in it for the irony has abandoned their former posts.

I tend to air on the side of caution when speaking about this, but I was one of the ironic Bronies. Most other bronies (or former bronies) consider that a grievous sin towards the true Brolievers. Meh, that's just my perspective. It's all so subjective that it doesn't even matter. Razz

I don't understand, I've watched one episode and it seemed like a little kids show to me. I used to like the MLP before these ones though.
